Acceptable Use Policy
Effective: April 27, 2026
CarveMap is a read-only intelligence feed and JSON API. These rules cover how you may use the Service and the data it returns.
You agree not to
- Circumvent rate limits, paywalls, tier delays, or any technical access controls.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute API output beyond the scope of your subscription.
- Scrape or access the Service by automated means except via your API key under its rate limit, or as permitted by robots.txt.
- Use the Service in violation of applicable export controls or sanctions law.
- Use the Service to surveil or target any specific individual, household, or location for harm.
- Use the Service to coordinate harassment of any person or group.
- Submit false abuse, takedown, or DMCA reports.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer rate-limit logic, bypass billing, or impersonate another customer.
API integrity
- One API key per organisation unless otherwise agreed in writing. Sharing keys across third parties is a breach of the API agreement.
- Cache responses respecting the published delay tier of your subscription. Do not redistribute the API feed in a way that materially undercuts the delay tier you paid for.
- Surface CarveMap as the data source when re-publishing pulses (attribution: “via carvemap.com” or equivalent).
Source content
Pulses link to publicly available sources. CarveMap does not host the underlying source content; we link to it. If you believe a pulse links to material that violates our DMCA / takedown policy, our sanctions policy in our legal notice, or our open-source-only commitment (no classified or leaked material), report it to [email protected].
Enforcement
Violations can result in immediate API key revocation, subscription termination, account suspension, or, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement. Enforcement decisions are at our discretion.
