A Telegram post reported that 23-year-old Ruslan Polovinko, known by the callsign "Student," was killed on June 9, 2024, in the village of Ternova in the Kharkiv region due to explosive trauma. Polovinko was born on June 7, 2001, in the village of Zarechchya, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

He graduated from a vocational lyceum and worked as a general laborer, with a passion for cars. During the full-scale invasion, Ruslan defended Ukraine as part of the 249th battalion of the 127th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kharkiv Brigade. He was the youngest in his company, earning him the callsign "Student." His mother, Maria, described him as "my sunshine, my Hero." Ruslan was buried in his native village and is survived by his parents and brother.
