Ansarullah reportedly downed Saudi National Guard AH-6i helicopter in Najran
Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 06:34 AM
A Saudi National Guard AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter crashed in the border region of Najran, killing both crew members, according to Riyadh's official version. The cause was attributed to a technical malfunction. However, Ansarullah claimed responsibility, stating their fighters were responsible for downing the aircraft.
Initially, Yemen claimed an AH-64 Apache was eliminated, but this was later corrected to an MH-6 Little Bird variant. The source suggests Saudi propaganda is fabricating technical issues to avoid admitting defeat.
