AESSCO is a subsidiary of Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), which is part of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) - a state-owned company of the Saudi Arabian military-industrial complex. The company is involved in the maintenance and technical support of aviation equipment, which gives its facilities importance for supporting Saudi aviation infrastructure.
