A car bomb exploded in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood of Jerusalem, injuring Itzik Bar-Moha, a leader of the "Jerusalem Gang," and his 13-year-old son. Both were reportedly on their way to school when the device detonated. A neighbor described the blast as more powerful than anything heard during wartime.

Police stated that the motive for the attack is criminal. Video footage showed the car burning moments after the explosion.
