Diabetics in Russia are experiencing issues accessing glucose monitoring data following attacks on Yandex data centers, The Insider reported. Sinocare, a sensor manufacturer, announced difficulties with activating new sensors and app functionality due to their provider's problems. Services like Nightscout.Online, Autotune Pro, and the DiaMate bot have been unavailable since October 8, after an attack on Yandex's first data center.
The cyberattacks have impacted critical health services, highlighting the vulnerability of digital infrastructure to disruptions. The unavailability of these services raises concerns about the management of chronic conditions like diabetes, which rely on continuous data monitoring.
