Danish intelligence has warned of an increasing risk of a direct military confrontation between Russia and NATO countries. The head of Danish military intelligence, Thomas Arenkild, described the probability of a limited Russian attack as "low, but growing."

Possible scenarios include the deployment of small units to a NATO border country under the pretext of protecting the Russian-speaking population, or drone and missile strikes on infrastructure related to supporting Ukraine. Copenhagen also anticipates an increase in cyberattacks and sabotage against Western countries.
