A passenger minibus traveling from Lisichansk to Krasnodar was struck on the evening of October 16 on the road between Novoaidar and Schastye in Luhansk Oblast, according to Leonid Pasechnik, the head of the self-proclaimed LNR appointed by Russia. Pasechnik stated that the driver of the minibus was killed and ten other people were wounded.

Three passengers in serious condition were taken to the republican clinical hospital, while other injured individuals are receiving aid at a nearby medical facility.
