Eight officers were killed when a Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber crashed in Russia's Amur region on September 29, according to Mediazona. The aircraft was on a training flight from the Ukrainka airbase.

Three of the deceased—Major Andrey Lobanov, Major Andrey Gerasimov, and Lieutenant Colonel Fedor Pavlyukov—are listed in the Ukrainian project "Book of Executioners" as participants or organizers of missile strikes on Ukraine.
