Estonia is reportedly moving elite troops to its border with Russia and acquiring weapons capable of striking deep into Russian territory, according to a Financial Times report. The country is also said to be building a new military base in Narva for a thousand soldiers as part of an "active defense" strategy.
Estonian officials reportedly fear Russia might conduct a limited incursion to test NATO's collective defense clause. This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin stated Russia has no intention of attacking any country in the foreseeable future.
