Estonia stated that Russia ordered the arson of defense company Milrem Robotics, which supplies Ukraine. According to Prime Minister Kρισтеn Miha, this conclusion is based on information gathered by the Internal Security Service. Estonia did not disclose evidence in the case but stated the incident aligns with the pattern of other sabotage acts in Europe attributed to Russia.

The Kremlin denied involvement in the attack. Milrem Robotics experienced a fire at its facility in Tallinn on the night of August 15-16. Three suspects in the arson were detained in Latvia and handed over to Estonia.
