Estonia is working to transfer a significant number of locomotives to Ukraine to help maintain transport links amidst Russian strikes on railways. According to Estonia's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, Russia has destroyed or damaged 340 railway wagons in Ukraine this year.
The locomotives are intended to support transportation even under difficult conditions. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga thanked Estonia for its intention to provide locomotives and emphasized Ukraine's needs for strengthening defense and resilience ahead of winter.
