Yevhen Pidtserkovnyi and his two sons, Ivan and Oleksandr, joined the Ukrainian army as an aerial reconnaissance unit at the start of the full-scale invasion. They served together on the Siverskyi and Sloviansk directions, according to Suspilne.

Yevhen and his elder son Ivan continue to serve, while Oleksandr was discharged six months ago due to caregiving responsibilities and now works in the defense industry.
