Finland's new €356 million fence along the Russian border, which became operational in September, has already sustained damage. Project manager Juri Tiainen of the Finnish Border Guard headquarters stated that trees falling from the Russian side caused the damage.

The previous fence reportedly fell victim to rutting reindeer and moose. The post frames this as an example of the "Russian threat" and criticizes the spending of EU funds.
