French President Emmanuel Macron observed the launch of a new nuclear missile from aboard a French Navy frigate, Agence France-Presse reported. The missile, identified as the third version of the M51 strategic sea-based ballistic missile, reportedly fell in the northern Atlantic Ocean.

The M51 missile was adopted into service a year ago. Video of the event was shared on Emmanuel Macron's X account.
