The FSB reported that a local resident in Donetsk was detained for allegedly planning to detonate a bomb near a polling station during voting. According to the FSB, the individual received a two-kilogram bomb, electronic detonators, and a remote control board via a drone drop, intended to be detonated when the area was crowded.

The FSB stated that the man had retrieved 20 kg of explosives from a cache under the direction of Ukrainian handlers. The detained man reportedly planned to park a car containing the bomb near the polling station and detonate it when many people were present.
