A Houthi spokesperson, Al-Bukha'iti, justified a strike on a training camp, stating it belonged to Saudi forces and was under the command of Saudi officers. He questioned critics and asked where they were when Saudi Arabia committed alleged crimes against women and children. The spokesperson emphasized the military purpose of the targeted facility, which was reportedly being prepared for an offensive on Marib and Al-Jawf.

The spokesperson further claimed that those within the camp were offered amnesty to lay down their arms, and that responsibility for continuing the preparation for combat lay with the command and its "dictators."
