Transformers crucial for electricity supply were damaged near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) due to shelling. The Director General of the IAEA is negotiating with both sides for a new local truce to carry out necessary repair work at the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant.

This will be the eighth such agreement brokered by the IAEA, aimed at restoring external power supply to the ZNPP.
