The IAEA has begun negotiations for an eighth local ceasefire following a series of drone attacks near the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in the past two weeks. Damaged transformers at the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant, essential for the ZNPP's external power supply, and a radiation monitoring station were reported as affected.

The ceasefire is intended to facilitate repair work on the damaged infrastructure.
