Iran rebuilding Taleghan 2 facility at Parchin after Israeli strikes, ISIS reports

Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 05:56 PM

Iran is rapidly rebuilding the Taleghan 2 facility at the Parchin military complex, a former nuclear weapons program site southeast of Tehran. The site is covered by a large tarp, concealing heavy construction activity including dump trucks, bulldozers, concrete pumps, cranes, and new blast-reinforcement walls, according to the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS).

This is the third rebuild cycle for the facility. Israel struck the original building in October 2024, and again in March 2026 with bunker-busters. ISIS stated that the repeated rebuilding of the high-explosives test site is "deeply concerning."
