Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 07:27 PM
Iran stated that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are removed from power, according to a senior Iranian political adviser. The adviser, Mohammad-Bagher Zolghadr, asserted that Iranian forces would not reopen the vital waterway under current political conditions.
A senior commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also announced that Iran has achieved a higher level of combat readiness than in previous conflicts. These statements follow a third US House vote to end the war, with official estimates placing its cost at $38 billion and rising.
