Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the incident on a FlyDubai plane was a foiled jihadist attack attempt, thanks to the bravery of several Israeli passengers who took control of the aircraft. Katz emphasized that intelligence-based security warnings should be taken seriously by both external enemies and internal elements.

He added that the warnings are not a substitute for proactive and offensive operations conducted with the IDF against any threat.
