Konstantin Tkachenko Appointed Vice-Governor of Belgorod Region
Konstantin Tkachenko, advisor to the newly elected head of Belgorod region, Alexander Shuvaev, has been appointed vice-governor. Tkachenko, who previously worked on projects for the Presidential Administration and led a humanitarian mission in Mariupol, is expected to oversee internal politics in the region. Shuvaev himself was selected through the "Time of Heroes" program, linked to the Presidential Administration.
Shuvaev stated that approximately 90% of the previous government staff will retain their positions. Tkachenko's appointment comes as Alexander Lorenz, who led the governor's administration, moved to the Federation Council. The report also notes increased effectiveness in Belgorod's air defense, with up to 90% of drones targeting Moscow reportedly being intercepted over the region, leading to changes in drone flight paths.
