Friday, October 2, 2026 at 08:15 AM

Kyiv authorities are assessing damage to the Southern Bridge following strikes in the capital. Movement across the city's bridges remains restricted. The Paton Bridge has been reopened in both directions, but access from the right bank to the left bank is only permitted from Druzhby Narodiv Avenue.

According to KCSA spokesperson Kateryna Pop, "After several hits on the Southern Bridge, the bridge support, barrier, road surface, and protective concrete covering of the metro were damaged." Detailed decisions regarding traffic on the bridges are to be made at an emergency meeting of the capital's Defense Council.
