Following incidents in Vyshneve and Mila village in Kyiv region, where hundreds of homes were damaged due to ammunition detonation, the issue of controlling such sites near residential areas has resurfaced. Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration (KOVA), stated that KOVA lacks inspection authority for these depots and that the Ministry of Defense has not officially requested checks.

Tkachenko asserted that Russia's goal is to make people fearful and encourage them to leave. He also mentioned that the Ministry of Defense has not officially contacted the administration regarding inspections of ammunition depots.
