Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 12:34 PM
Several hundred people gathered near the Kyiv City State Administration (KMSA) to demand the resignation of Mayor Vitali Klitschko, citing a lack of shelters and ongoing illegal construction. Participants held signs with slogans against illegal development and corruption, chanting "Resignation" and "NABU, open up!" referring to a criminal investigation against Klitschko.
Public figure Oleg Symoroz stated that Kyiv's architectural heritage is being destroyed and funds are allocated to non-priority needs during the war. He demanded the city authorities build shelters and support the army, also raising concerns about the destruction of green zones for residential development and unsatisfactory public transport services.
