Lithuania says Russian sabotage attempt targeted Starlink station
Lithuania stated that an attempt to set fire to a Starlink station was an act of sabotage linked to Russia, according to the head of the National Crisis Management Center. The stated goal was to weaken Ukraine's military capabilities. This incident is connected to previous arson attacks on Starlink equipment in Bulgaria and Poland.
In the early hours of October 18, unknown individuals attempted to set fire to a Starlink station on the outskirts of Vilnius. The fire was quickly extinguished, causing minor damage to the equipment, but no service disruptions. Suspects are being sought. On October 10, several Starlink antennas were set on fire in Bulgaria. In September, a fire at a station in Poland damaged the power supply system and a backup generator. Polish authorities also accused Russia of sabotage and detained four suspects in that case.
