A man was fatally shot following a conflict with another shopper in a supermarket in Volgograd, Russia. The incident occurred after a verbal altercation escalated, leading one participant to draw a weapon and fire, according to Irina Volk, a representative of the Russian Interior Ministry. The victim died before emergency services arrived.

REN TV, citing eyewitnesses, reported that six shots were fired. The suspect fled the scene but was later apprehended. The deceased was reportedly in the store with his two sons and is survived by his wife and five children.
