Marine Le Pen, leader of the French right-wing party "National Rally", stated that Russia will not dictate to France what to do and cannot intimidate Paris with its provocations. She was responding to Putin's decision to confiscate Nestlé and Auchan assets in Russia.

Le Pen has previously been known for her pro-Russian stance, with her attitude towards the aggressor country being more favorable than that of most French politicians.
