Russian forces are continuing their offensive in the Zaporizhzhia direction, concentrating efforts around the Orikhiv defensive area, according to military analyst Kostyantyn Mashovets. Mashovets stated that a large-scale penetration attempt by Russian infantry groups directly into Orikhiv was thwarted, with only a small group remaining on the southeastern outskirts.

Russian forces are attempting to bypass Orikhiv from the western flank, with active areas including Kam'yanske, Prymorske, and Stepnohirsk. They are increasingly using the dried-up bed of the former Kakhovka Reservoir for supply and infiltration attempts around Ukrainian positions. Mashovets assesses the main threat to Orikhiv is forming on the western flank rather than within the city itself.
