Moldova's parliamentary commission on national security head Lilian Carp stated that Ukrainian border guards crossed the state border, which he called a gross violation. Carp announced that protest notes were sent to the Ukrainian embassy and other authorities regarding this illegal crossing.

Carp noted that since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Moldova has recorded several instances of Ukrainian citizens illegally crossing the border, but stressed that this does not justify the actions of the border guards.
