A shell reportedly hit a bus near the Palanka border crossing between Moldova and Ukraine, causing the crossing to be temporarily closed and traffic towards Palanka to be blocked, according to Moldovan media. The incident occurred on the morning of October 5, when a shell ricocheted during a Russian attack on Ukraine and struck a passenger bus near the Palanka-Mayaki-Udobne checkpoint.
One Moldovan border guard sustained a minor injury, and the bus and a control booth were damaged.
