Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted on resuming large-scale military operations against Iran, according to a Financial Times report citing sources. In early October, Netanyahu reportedly ordered the Israeli Air Force to prepare strikes on Iranian territory, but the operation did not receive US approval.
The planned strikes were intended to cause damage comparable to that inflicted in late February of this year, the publication reported.
