OBOZ.UА asks why Ukraine cannot seize sanctioned assets of Russian businessman Igor Naumet
Ukrainian media outlet OBOZ.UА has publicly questioned the acting prosecutor general and the minister of justice regarding the state's inability to obtain the assets of "Yunigran", a company linked to Russian businessman Igor Naumets. The outlet reports that these sanctioned assets have been in a cycle of re-registrations and аресты for nearly four years.
According to the report, after sanctions were imposed by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), the property ended up with structures associated with Sergey Shapran and Vladimir Osipov. The investigation suggests that assets were being funneled through controlled companies to prevent nationalization. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is reportedly demanding the confiscation of 100% of the company's shares for the state.
