A boat carrying 305 migrants capsized off the coast of Djibouti during the night of October 9, resulting in at least 109 deaths, including 15 children, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The vessel was reportedly en route to Yemen.

The IOM reported that at least 109 people died, including 15 children, and 116 are missing. Over 80 passengers were rescued, all of whom were Ethiopian citizens. The search and rescue operation is ongoing.
