Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that two Polish border crossing points with Ukraine were evacuated due to a Russian attack in the Volyn region. The Government Security Center had previously issued warnings to residents of border voivodeships, and Polish aircraft were deployed.

Tusk described the incident, stating, 'Just as I am talking to one of our partners here in Warsaw and discussing Russia's aggressive behavior and the problems it creates for Poland, the Russians decide to prove it... Ukraine was attacked again near the Polish border, and we had to evacuate the border crossings in Hrubieszów and Dołhobyczów again.'
