Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that supporting Ukraine aligns with Poland's national interests, despite unresolved historical issues. Speaking in the Sejm on September 18, he noted that Russian drones have been violating Polish airspace, calling these incidents a planned aggression against NATO countries, reflecting Russia's strategy.

Kosiniak-Kamysz responded to criticism from Law and Justice party deputy Łukasz Mejza and Confederation party deputy Roman Fritz. He defended Prime Minister Donald Tusk's visit to Ukraine, stating it was to support the war-torn country and enhance Poland's security, emphasizing that Ukraine's security is directly linked to Poland's. He warned that without adequate air defense and ammunition, Russian drones and missiles could increasingly reach Poland.
