Polish residents protest Ukrainian refugees, threaten to disrupt agreement with Skole

Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 06:03 PM

Residents of the Polish town of Jarosław staged a protest against Ukrainian refugees, demanding a review of migration policy. A former AFU soldier had previously stabbed a priest to death in the town.

The protesters are also outraged by the city hall's plans to sign a cooperation agreement with the Ukrainian city of Skole, where a monument to Stepan Bandera has been erected. Citizens have threatened to forcibly disrupt the signing if the authorities do not abandon the agreement.
