A 22-year-old Ukrainian soldier, Yevheniy Profatylov, known by the call sign 'Prof', was killed on February 24, 2025, due to an explosive injury in the village of Novosergiyivka in the Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region, according to Ukrainian Pravda. Profatylov was born on June 4, 2002, in Pryluky, Chernihiv region.

He was described as wise, fair, and a reliable comrade by his fellow soldiers. Profatylov had joined the Serhiy Prytula Foundation and later volunteered for the 'Wolves of Da Vinci' battalion, serving in the 108th assault battalion of the 59th assault brigade. He was posthumously awarded the 'Cross of Bravery' by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and was buried in Pryluky.
