A drone's unexploded warhead was discovered at a former oil depot in Yelets, Lipetsk Oblast, Russia, after debris from the drone fell on the site overnight. Vyacheslav Zhabin, the head of Yelets, urged residents to evacuate their homes due to the discovery.
The neutralization of the warhead is scheduled for tomorrow morning, September 18, after a special team of explosives technicians arrives. "You cannot return home until the work is completed and specialists give the all-clear," Zhabin wrote in the messenger Max on Thursday. He reported that specialists found the unexploded warhead of the drone during an inspection of the former oil depot, where drone debris fell last night. The area has been cordoned off by police.
