A Telegram channel aligned with the Houthi movement, Ansarullah, reported that an Egyptian national named Mohammed Salah was killed in Yemen while fighting against Israeli forces. The post stated that Salah attacked the Al-Uja checkpoint, resulting in the deaths of three Israeli soldiers.

The post included a portrait of Mohammed Salah, described as a 'shahid' (martyr), displayed in Sana'a, Yemen. It contrasted this with his potential recognition in Saudi Arabia, suggesting he would be largely unknown there.
