A man identified as Mykyta Halaida has died in a hospital in Kryvyi Rih from injuries sustained during a Russian attack on the city, according to his colleagues. Medical staff reportedly fought for his life for a week before he succumbed to his injuries.

Halaida had reportedly joined the defense of Ukraine in 2026 and was remembered by colleagues and customers for his positive demeanor and dedication to his work as a barista.
