Report: Suspect in killing of 5 Ukrainian soldiers detained in Kutuzivka
A detained individual, potentially involved in the killing of five Ukrainian soldiers from the 72nd Mechanized Brigade in Kutuzivka, is a 36-year-old native of Saint Petersburg, according to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The agencies stated the man served in the second battalion of the 1009th Motor Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces and may have been one of the Russian saboteurs.
Investigators claim the man disguised himself in civilian clothing to avoid detection. In addition to the soldiers, he also shot a local fisherman out of fear of being exposed, the prosecutor's office reported.
