A 54-year-year-old resident of Mykhailivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, has been sentenced to up to 13 years in prison for violating the laws and customs of war. The man was found guilty of torturing a civilian in April 2022.

The prosecution stated that the convicted individual struck the victim with the butt of an assault rifle to the face and then twice on the left shin after he fell. Subsequently, the victim was placed in a confined space where he could only stand for two hours. Later, the victim was struck in the torso with a piece of a broken glass bottle.
