A Ukrainian missile strike on Donetsk on August 26 reportedly killed at least 20 Russian officers, including seven colonels, according to "Mediazona." Ukrainian OSINT projects claimed the strike hit a building at Prospekt Illicha, 97, and an underground parking lot under an unfinished residential complex, both used as Russian army command posts.

The report from "Mediazona" and OSINT claims suggest a significant blow to Russian command structures in the occupied Donetsk region.
