Report: Ukrainian political figure Mykola Karpyuk killed on front lines

A Ukrainian political figure and co-founder of UNA-UNSO, Mykola Karpyuk, has been killed on the front lines, according to a Telegram post. The specific location and circumstances of his death were not immediately disclosed.

The post also recalled that Karpyuk was detained by Russia's FSB on March 17, 2014, while attempting to cross the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Chernihiv region. He was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison in 2016 and was released on September 7, 2019, as part of an exchange.
