The Poltava Regional Military Administration, in conjunction with the Memorial Memory Platform, is honoring the memory of fallen defenders from the Poltava region. Thirty-one-year-old soldier Vitaliy Gazienko, known by the call sign "Vitamin," was killed on November 1, 2022, near the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. He sustained a fatal explosive trauma in combat with occupying forces.

Vitaliy Gazienko, nicknamed "Vitamin," was born in Poltava and lived in Martyntnivka. He served in the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade as a driver. His wife, Oksana Gazienko, described him as a kind, reliable person and a wonderful father. He was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree and buried in Martyntnivka.
