Law enforcement officers detained a displaced resident of Melitopol in Kyiv, who is suspected of preparing an assassination attempt. According to investigators, the woman, acting on behalf of Russia's FSB, was allegedly planning to assassinate Russian opposition figure Akhmad Akhmedov, who has been fighting for Ukraine since 2022.

During the arrest, the woman was found with a weapon, ammunition, and a phone used to communicate with her handler. She faces a potential sentence of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
