A Telegram channel reported that on July 12, a group of local residents attempting to leave the village of Staritsya in Kharkiv Oblast encountered a mine. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion killed three people, including Zinaida Batyukova, her son, and his wife, and wounded one other person.

Zinaida Batyukova was 86 years old and was born in the village of Izbytske. Russian forces had entered Staritsya in July 2024, and shelling in the village had intensified. The family has been unable to recover the bodies due to ongoing military actions.
