A large fire broke out near the coast of Russian Sochi on October 6, reportedly involving a Russian oil tanker. Local Russian media and ASTRA reported the incident, stating the burning vessel was in the waters near the port of Sochi. Thick smoke from the fire was visible from the shore.

The vessel, believed to be carrying oil or oil products, likely caught fire after an attack by a drone or UAV. The fire spread from the ship's hull to the surrounding water due to the leakage of flammable materials.
